There are breathtaking harbour walks around Manly, heritage trails and an Oceanworld brimming with sharks, giant stingrays, seals, living corals and thousands of marine animals to explore. Sadly, the ranks of Manly's nut-brown pioneers of the surf life-saving movement who have been fixtures on the main beach for so many years are thinning and so, too, are the famous Norfolk pines that once formed an internationally recognisable avenue on the beach front.
