Gateway to the south-west region of WA, the big port city of Bunbury sits on Koombana Bay at the southern end of the spectacular Leschenault Inlet, with the Indian Ocean as its western border.
Its harbour is one of the most picturesque in the state. In short, this maritime town, some 185 kilometres south of Perth, is paradise for anyone with a yearn to go down to the sea in ships.

Then there's the Big Swamp Bird Park with a large walk-in aviary and Kings Cottage - built in 1870 from sun-dried clay bricks made on the site. St. Marks Church, opened in 1842, lays claim to being the second oldest church in Western Australia.
